Position Summary

The development and validation of production test methods, jigs, fixtures, equipment and software used in verifying the functionally of product.

Responsibilities

•    Design for Test (DFT). Work with Product Development during the development process to incorporate test features and to ensure optimum testability of all products.  •    Production test continuous improvements.•    Identification and strategic procurement of capital equipment based on spaneting plan and Test Engineering technology roadmap.•    Test technical support/liaison with Production, Product Development, Service, Quality, and Customer. •    Support the winning of new business through the development of thorough and accurate labour estimates and proposals. 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent. Strong electronics background.•    Very good to excellent knowledge of fundamental hardware design practices. Experience investigating, specifying, purchasing test equipment and building test jigs. Strong mechanical aptitude.•    Hardware experience with Test Systems, Test Circuit PCBAs, NI DAQ hardware, cameras/lenses/vision hardware.•    Previous programming experience in National Instruments LabView, TestStand, Vision Development, and Motion would be an asset. Experience with C/C++, Linux, PHP, Python and SQL would also be assets.•    Demonstrated strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities•    Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
