SAS Cargo Group (SCG) has been successful in the market. We are investing in new Revenue Management System capabilities that will strengthen our O&D based pricing and forecasting, and we have several strategic products initiatives in our pipeline. To ensure that SAS Cargo keeps adapting to new market reality and embraces new opportunities, we are now seeking to fill the position of Revenue Manager which plays a key role in SAS Cargo future commercial growth and performance.

Short Description and Purpose

The air freight industry has experienced significant growth with increasing demand for cargo services worldwide. Demand is projected to continue increasing and the industry is facing a rapid transformation where digitalization, product development, pricing and advanced analytics play a key role.

SAS Cargo Group (SCG) has been successful in capturing the growth in the market as well as an important enabler for the profitability of SAS long haul operations. We are upgrading our Revenue Management System that will strengthen our O&D based pricing and forecasting, and we have several commercially strategic initiatives in our pipeline. The Revenue Management team is responsible for the revenue and profit optimization of all available cargo capacity. We seek a Revenue Manager that can help us continue to develop and optimize a portfolio of routes, while supporting our adaptation to new market reality and embracing new opportunities. What will you be doing

The position is part of the Commercial department, responsible for optimizing SAS Cargo’s revenue and contribution. You will be part of a small and diverse team mainly situated in Copenhagen leading the commercial agenda of SAS Cargo, offering a competitive network, relevant products and competitive rates on SAS (and partners) capacity. You will be working with other Revenue Managers who are also responsible for a number of flights. Your contribution will be key in optimizing decision taking for our future pricing and product strategy and support our transition 

You will report to the Head of Commercial, working closely with other units in SCG, such as Global Sales, Operations and Strategic Business Development, with the following responsibilities:

•    Revenue and profit optimize belly capacity on own route portfolio through optimal (and profitable) rates and sales mix 
•    Develop and implement revenue maximization strategy (route strategies)
•    Monitor and adjust steering (rates, capacity allocation) based on market changes and inputs from stakeholders
•    Ensure optimal forecasts and availability on own route portfolio using our RM-system
•    Evaluate and respond to daily adhoc shipment requests
•    Responsible for evaluating rate change initiatives on own route portfolio 
•    Evaluate and set up allotment allocations 
•    Work with Global Sales to set rates correctly and win deals 
•    Work with RM architect and rest of the RM-team to continuously develop best practice and adoption of new O&D system feature (being developed)
•    Work cross functional with Strategic Pricing Manger, Operations managers, Space Control /planning team on day-to-day route optimization 
•    Participating in strategic and tactical projects

Pricing, yield mgnt and data analytics should be something that motivates you. This includes analyzing available sources of internal and external data and information to understand the drivers behind business performance, drawing actionable conclusions on how to optimize revenue and profits for your portfolio of flights. 

Qualifications

•    Experience in pricing or revenue management from airlines, freight, hospitality or similar
•    University degree, Master or equivalent

Our office is currently in AMAGERSTRAND complex. There is a newly renovated gym complimentary for all SAS staff, as well as nearby facilities for practice of padel and running, all within walking distance to metro and railway stations and of course good access by bike from central Copenhagen. We are planning to move closer to the airport in 2026.
