Position Summary
MAG is seeking an experienced Access Control Receptionist for a Temporary Assignment.
Coverage primarily to support day shift:
6am to 2pm or 10am to 6pm
Monday through Friday (for Hanover, MD facility)
The Access Control Receptionist will provide support for access control including personnel identification, badging, and visitor notifications. Primary responsibilities include: 100 check of all visitor badges; package inspections; monitoring of designated areas; and detecting and reporting violations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Access Control Monitor will provide support for access control duties including
but not limited to:
- 100 check of all visitor badges.
- Assist with processing of individuals into secured facilities.
- Conduct inspections to ensure prohibited items are not introduced into facilities.
- Secure areas as directed within the guidelines of the post orders or security regulations.
- Monitor access into and from the facility, by verifying personnel identification and ability to identify various government-issued badges
- Detecting and reporting violations.
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Must be prompt, attentive to details, courteous, and must maintain a professional appearance
- Must be able to report promptly and reliably for scheduled operations
- Must be capable of remaining alert and responsive throughout the assigned shift, and of alerting the Program Security Manager in the event of any suspicious activity.
- Must be able to successfully complete training in access control and intrusion detection systems.
- Must be able to pass routine and random drug screening
- Ability to conduct outdoor facility walk arounds during work hours.
Clearance
- Active Secret DoD Security Clearance required
Education and Training
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Desired Requirements
- Previous service within a military security environment is desirable
- College Degree
Other Qualification
- Ability to travel 10
- Ability to work in inside/office and outside environments.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $21 to $31/hr (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
