Our United Express team selects and manages our airline partners and ground handlers that carry the United Express name, ensuring a safe and profitable operation, and providing flights to smaller communities across the entire country.
Key Responsibilities:The Senior Manager – UAX Operations Strategy & Planning coordinates the development of partner strategies for United Express and develops and manages the tools required to measure the operating performance of the United Express carriers. The Senior Manager reports directly to the Director – UAX Planning and is responsible for developing strategies, working in conjunction with the UAX leadership team and other United departments, related to the portfolio of partners operating as United Express. Additionally, this person will work with the UAX team and other United departments to develop and administer the tools required to track and understand the United Express Partner’s operation and performance.
- Coordinate the development of short/medium/long term strategic plans for the partners supported by his vertical organization
- Oversee the development and administration of weekly/monthly performance monitoring and reporting tools for the UAX operation
- Oversee the development and administration of industry comparative analysis tools for the regional operations
- Develop and maintain tools to provide periodic updates to Sr. leadership regarding UAX operations
- Partners with UAX functional teams and UAX flying partners to identify opportunities for improvement, gather and analyze information and data and develop improvement opportunities across the operation
- Develops end-to-end executive level communications for high level report outs on strategy and operation performance
Note: This role provides for a hybrid work arrangement, with in-office requirements 50 of the time from Corporate Headquarters in Chicago, IL.
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Network or related area of study
- 7+ years’ related work experience (Network Planning, Business, Finance, Engineering)
- 2+ years of people management
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Efficiency, Time Management, Ability to prioritize
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Executive presence
- Comfortable with ambiguity, able to multitask
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The base pay range for this role is $124,735.00 to $169,950.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
