Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Manager Mission Assurance 2 for the Mission Assurance Supplier Quality Engineering Functional Homeroom. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT.
Responsibilities include:
Managing a team of Supplier Quality engineers, located at two NGAS manufacturing sites, by ensuring the team is engaged and processes are calibrated across the team in order to manage the supply base efficiently and effectively
Training and development of employees within your section as a Functional Homeroom Mgr
Developing and implementing supplier quality evaluation and control systems
Assuring supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance.
Oversees the conducting of product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues.
Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list (ASL) and periodically reviews supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the ASL.
Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks. Develops plans to respond to risks and issues in the supply chain.
Representing Supplier Quality in front of Program, Global Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance directors and vice presidents and supplier executive leadership teams
Collaborate with Supplier Quality program counterparts to ensure adequate proposals and bids are submitted including appropriate staffing levels required to support program statement of work and available budget
Establishes and implements innovative strategies and tactics to drive predictability and affordability across the supply base
Interacts closely with Global Supply Chain personnel to coordinate on time delivery and 1st time quality products
Interacts with internal and external customers to ensure collaborative management of the supplier issues and risks
Travelling domestically on short notice
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 9 years of experience in the Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industries in a Quality Environment or a Masters degree and 7 years of Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industries in a Quality Environment
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance (in-scope) that was granted or renewed within the past 5 years
Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as required by the business
Minimum 5 years of Supplier Quality experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Leadership/Lead role
Must have ability to work flexible schedule, 1st or 2nd shift to include weekend shifts
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
SAP experience

Strong orientation to change in a dynamic environment
Sophisticated level of understanding of complex quality policies, procedures, governmental regulations and workflow
Ability to analyze alternative courses of action where decisions have risk/reward implications for program or area of influence

Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
