About the Role:
The Dispatch Duty Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the dispatch department. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of dispatch personnel, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and on time. The manager will implement strategies to optimize workflow and improve service delivery, while also addressing any operational challenges that may arise. Shift:
Afternoon 2:30 pm -10:30 pm (EST)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor&39;s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics management role, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CLTD).
- Experience with dispatch software and technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the dispatch team to ensure timely and accurate shipment processing.
- Monitor and analyze dispatch operations to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain communication with logistics, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Train and mentor dispatch staff to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present reports on dispatch performance metrics to senior management.
