Position Summary
Directs and generates business opportunities for the Division. Overall responsibility for business development with high earnings and revenue accountability and complex products and system solutions. Develops teaming and partnering alliances with competitors and other companies; works with business teams, other Divisions and Groups, and current and potential customers to promote Company technologies, products and services to meet customer needs and to determine how the Divisions capabilities can be leveraged into additional spanets. Works with Group Marketing and Manufacturing Strategy to develop strategic and tactical plans to obtain short and long-term objectives. Coordinates activities to ensure maximum profitability.

Responsibilities
Develops proposals to attract the customer and provide an acceptable level of return to the Company by researching current and future requirements and translating them into development opportunities. Develops and supports strategies and solutions for sustained growth in current and emerging spanets.Develops, manages, and supports proposals and business development plans for the Division for domestic and international programs. Determines the need for cross-division teaming and external strategic partners/alliances to gain business.Conducts competitive research, evaluates overall performance, and formulates goals and milestones for specific products and systems. Applies, thorough understanding of the Divisions technical capabilities, operational capacity, and spanet information to influence future plans and strategies.Serves as the liaison and facilitator with customers and technical resources to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction with regard to cost, product quality, delivery, and performance. Provides the customer with liaison support within and across Divisions on existing and new programs. Stays in close contact with Division technology and operations teams to enable rapid turnaround solutions.Develops and maintains relationships with industry contacts to gain knowledge of future spanet and customer needs and further develops business opportunities.
identifies opportunities for business development by studying competitors, products, problems, spanet intelligence, and identifying trends.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing trade and technical publications, establishing professional networks, and/or participating in professional associations and attending industry trade shows and conferences.Establishes goals and objectives to carry out programs or functions by coordinating all efforts across the Division. Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making complex comparative analyses.Acts as prime consultant to Management on significant issues. May provide leadership to others in department or to ad-hoc teams.Serves as technical subject expert and resource. Shares specialized knowledge with others. Represents Company on specific projects. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities (e.g., Continuous Improvement).
Qualifications
-Bachelors Degree (BS) - preferably in Engineering, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. MBA desired.-Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 10 or more years of increasingly responsible operations experience including plant management.-Travel 30-50-Excellent communication and persuasive skills required in a multi -task environment.
