Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Use advanced skills to complete work innovatively and guide the development of techniques and team members
Assemble and fit detail parts and structures, perform varied drilling and riveting operations, and ensure parts meet quality requirements
Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to safely layout, fabricate, and install parts
Adapt quickly to new tasks while maintaining efficiency and meeting schedule requirements
Perform riveting using tools such as pneumatic guns, drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, files, and reamers; remove fasteners without damaging structures
Read and follow work orders, operation sheets, and technical instructions for cutting, forming, and assembling materials; apply adhesives, sealants, and solvents per standard procedures
Inspect work to ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection
Mentor, train, and assist team members in blueprint interpretation and installation techniques
Maintain logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs)
Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners
Perform repairs per DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs; complete rework to meet conformity standards
Plan and organize workload to meet or exceed goal hours and deadlines; assist with overseeing projects
Maintain a clean, organized work area and support 5S and Lean initiatives
Comply with all safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement policies
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 6 years of related structural assembly experience
Proficient with computers and related software
Skilled in interpreting blueprints and engineering documentation
Experience with close-tolerance work and specialized tools
Ability to solve dimensional problems using fractions, decimals, and whole numbers
Skilled with various measuring devices within specified tolerances
Ability to work any shift
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Capable of climbing ladders, stairs, and working in confined spaces
Must read, write, speak, and understand English
Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam; Q-stamp preferred
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
