Maintenance Technician M/F

Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join the Safran team at our Banbury site, within the Composites Value Stream. Youll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of plant equipment and building facilities, supporting site development and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a collaborative mindset, a proactive attitude, and a passion for engineering excellence.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

•tService and maintain existing plant equipment and building facilities in line with preventative maintenance standards and procedures.
•tRespond to equipment breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance activities.
•tMaintain and troubleshoot CNC machines.
•tInstall and modify new equipment and safety systems.
•tCalibrate various equipment and machinery.
•tSupport the movement and re-organisation of production lines.
•tInstall services to support site development.
•tAssist in the implementation of changes to manufacturing processes.
•tProvide practical engineering support for a variety of tasks.
•tProduce work instructions for specific maintenance tasks.

Job Requirements:

Essential skills:

•\tNVQ Level 3 qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline (or similar).
•\tStrong independent working skills across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
•\tProven experience maintaining CNC machines.

Desirable skills:

•\tAbility to understand a wide range of engineering functions and procedures.
•\tEffective communicator who can liaise with people at all levels.
•\tExcellent problem-solving skills and a logical, systematic approach.
•\tExperience in an electrical maintenance or engineering technician role.
•\tAbility to prioritise breakdowns and reduce factory downtime.
•\tFamiliarity with PLC controls, CMS software, and Microsoft Office packages.
•\tProactive and collaborative team member with a continual improvement mindset.
