Bring your initiative, expertise, and experience to the Little Mountain Test Facility (LMTF) Radiation Part Test Laboratory. We are seeking a Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Service Technician in our Ogden, UT/Hill AFB office. In this role, you will be supporting the growing Transient Radiation Electronic Effects (TREE) testing efforts for programs across the DoD and Space. You will have the opportunity to grow yourself while providing support to all aspects of our transient radiation effects portfolio.
You will be responsible for investigating simple technical, maintenance, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer. You will assist in troubleshooting to understand root cause. Youll receive customer requirements and correlate those to configure and set up test stands to accurately perform and execute customer testing. Youll be responsible for developing routine in-service processes and plans for continued safe and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment. Coordinates limited technical communications between customers, suppliers and Boeing resources to ensure customer requirements are met. Finally, you will mentor and train other technicians as well as support lab managers in the execution of daily lab needs.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Perform Total Ionizing Dose (TID), Dose Rate Upset (DRU), and Neutron Displacement Damage (NDD) testing in accordance with MIL-STD-883 and MIL-STD-750
Support test customers in the building of test fixtures, writing test procedures and conducting tests
Operate and maintain radiation test stands and support equipment
Provides technical support for maintenance, repair and preventive measures that ensure continued safe and economic operations for customers.
Applies technical knowledge to research, develop, test and evaluate operations, support programs, modifications, repairs and technical data.
Work independently in a team environment with little to no supervision
This position is expected to be 100 onsite.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years related work experience, 8 years related work experience, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with High Voltage Pulsed Power Systems
Experience working in government owned facilities on government owned equipment
Experience leading teams and mentoring peers

Summary pay range for level 4: $104,550 – $141,450
