Base Maintenance Planner
Are you passionate about aviation safety and operational excellence? We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Base Maintenance Planner to play a key role in ensuring the continuing airworthiness of our fleet. This critical role focuses on the effective planning and coordination of both scheduled and unscheduled heavy maintenance activities—directly impacting aircraft safety, reliability, regulatory compliance, and overall operational efficiency.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Base Maintenance Planner at easyJet, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and delivering all aspects of Heavy Base Maintenance (HBM), including painting, repairs, and modifications. You’ll ensure full compliance with regulatory and company procedures, create and manage detailed work scopes, and maintain accurate planning and aircraft status records. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll oversee the timely provisioning of materials and resources, manage work package distribution, and ensure all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Your proactive planning and collaboration will directly contribute to fleet airworthiness, operational performance, and safety standards.
What you’ll need to do the role:
We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with strong maintenance planning skills and a solid understanding of aircraft maintenance programmes, including hangar and slot utilisation, cost awareness, and end-of-lease planning. You’ll need to be confident using MS Office (intermediate to advanced level), and experience with AMOS and AirNavX is a plus. A strong grasp of EASA, FOCA, and CAA regulations is essential, along with the ability to make informed, safety-conscious decisions under pressure. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset are key, as is the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and unexpected maintenance events while maintaining a proactive, solution-focused approach.
