JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic II

Qualifying Questions:
Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations? Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role? Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?
Summary:
Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts, structures, and components
Execute varied drilling and riveting operations, including sheet metal layout and fabrication
Use portable and pneumatic tools (e.g., rivet guns, drills, countersinks, rivet shavers)
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, operation sheets, and sketches
Install parts, equipment, or fabricated items in accordance with specifications
Use adhesives, sealants, and solvents according to standard operating procedures
Ensure all work meets quality standards before final inspection
Maintain logs and records (e.g., MIRs, DMTs, PCOs)
Perform repairs per DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs
Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, pins, and clamps
Form complex angles and configurations using appropriate tooling
Safely collect and dispose of waste fluids and materials
Accurately log time and job details
Communicate effectively across shifts and with leadership
Maintain shop equipment and support lean initiatives
Follow 5S practices and all safety regulations
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of structural assembly experience
Solumina and SmarTeam
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
Basic computer and math skills; ability to read a scale
Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and professionalism
Ability to work independently or with a team under tight deadlines
Comfortable working with composites, in confined spaces, at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Must be able to work any shift
Fluent in English (read, write, speak, and comprehend)
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
