Summary:
Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structure parts and system components, including rigging control cables, linkages, control surfaces, landing gear, engines, cowls, entry doors, and associated hardware.
Remove and replace linkages, sectors, and components; cut and fit system lines and hardware for basic repairs.
Ensure all installations meet quality requirements; perform necessary rework to achieve conformity.
Install system lines, valves, ducts, and hardware to ensure leak-free systems.
Use tools and equipment such as permaswage pumps, dies, cutting tools, wrenches, gauges, and other required equipment to complete component and minor structure installations.
Remove, replace, cut, and fit systems lines, panels, and structural components for repairs.
Maintain and update required logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, etc.).
Inspect own work to ensure defect-free installation prior to final inspection.
Maintain a clean and organized work area; comply with FOD prevention, 5S, and all safety regulations.
Demonstrate Manufacturing competencies during employee effectiveness reviews.
Support continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may participate in flight tests as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
1 year of aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience (auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.).
An A&P license may offset the one-year experience requirement.
Solumina and Smarteam experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Skilled in basic drilling, reaming, and ship-fitting parts.
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
