• Inspects purchased parts & materials for conformance to specifications.

• Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit or due to handling.

• Inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, according to prints, parts manuals, company standards, and other specifications.

• Performs basic First Article Inspections (FAI) and conformity inspections.

• Approves or rejects items, and records inspection and disposition information.

• Gathers data for preparation of technical and daily output reports. Prepare daily inspection results and reports.

• Gathers data to prepare inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions.

•Knowledgeable about 7 Basic Quality Tools for Process Improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate Degree or other 2-year post high school training

• 2 years of relevant experience is required.

• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficient.

• Strong written and verbal communication and reasoning skills

• Must not have had any disciplinary case within the past year

• Must not be under Performance Improvement Plan

• With at least a year in his/her current position
