As a Test Engineer in Production Engine Test Operations (PETO), you will be the final gatekeeper in the manufacturing process, conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to ensure every engine meets rigorous specifications and customer requirements. Your expertise will directly impact the success of our products in the field in this challenging and rewarding role.*This is a 2nd shift position (M-F 2:30 - 11:00 pm)*

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Factory Acceptance Testing: Execute comprehensive tests on marine and industrial engines to verify compliance with specifications outlined in the Test Data Folder.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze test results to ensure engines meet performance, safety, and quality standards. Identify and troubleshoot any discrepancies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and engineering, to resolve issues and optimize testing processes.
  • Documentation: Produce customers with a detailed report of engine performance. Ensure all documentation aligns with regulatory and company standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use Flight Deck methodologies to drive problem solving and improvements in test procedure, facility upgrades, and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Safety First: Uphold GE Aerospace’s commitment to safety by adhering to all safety protocols and fostering a culture of safety in the workplace.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in execute comprehensive tests on marine and industrial engines to verify compliance with specifications outlined in the Test Data Folder.) + Minimum of 3 years of (execute comprehensive tests on marine and industrial engines to verify compliance with specifications outlined in the Test Data Folder.) experience

  • Experience in assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and/or quality assurance in a related professional function.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Leadership acumen to coordinate test, troubleshooting, and improvement projects with a variety of internal and external teams.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop technical skillset.
