Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer III to provide SOCOM Communications Support based out of Honolulu, HI.In this role, you will provide support for installation, operation, and maintenance of SOCOM tactical communications operations, standards, practices and systems including all means of tactical data and voice communication and specializing in broadband HF antennas, HF/VHF/UHF radios, SATCOM, and IP networking equipment.

*This role is contingent upon award with an anticipated start set for November 2025*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform Liaison Duties for Special Operations Communications providers
  • Interact and engage at staff meetings and be able to provide input at senior enlisted and staff officer levels on a daily basis
  • Conduct Pre-Deployment Site Surveys in the INDO-PACOM AOR
  • Install, operate, and maintain HF Log Periodic antennas and rotators, towers, cabling, and associated hardware at various locations across the INDO-PACOM AOR
  • Install, operate, and maintain HF/VHF/UHF antennas, antenna rotators, Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA), Antenna Control Units (ACU), and associated cabling and interconnects, UPS, and generators
  • Install, operate, and maintain HF/VHF/UHF, SATCOM, and IP network communications equipment in fixed and mobile installations
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HF/VHF/UHF, SATCOM, and IP network communications equipment using any required test equipment over and above the Built-In-Test (BIT) capability of the supported equipment
  • Manage and maintain SOCOM communication installation supplies
  • Maintain daily on-hand equipment inventories
Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • At least three years’ experience in support of the installation, operation, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of general HF/VHF/UHF/SATCOM/IP communications electronic systems or equipment

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or other realted technical discipline is preferred
  • Experience installing, operating, and maintaining HF Log Periodic antennas, rotators, and towers
  • Experience with SOF SIGINT/EW systems
  • Experience in support of the installation, operation, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of SOCOM or DoD HF/VHF/UHF/SATCOM/IP communications electronic systems or equipment

Other Qualifications

  • Must hold an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
