Software Engineer job in Huntsville, Alabama is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Aerospace/Defense company. In this job you will support the Ground Based Midcourse (GMD) Weapon System (GWS). The successful candidate will perform software engineering activities on the GWS Fire Control (GFC) Engagement Planner team, working in a collaborative environment. The algorithms and capabilities implemented by the Engagement Planner team are mathematics and physics based complex solutions
Responsibilities:
- Understand, implement, and test existing and new capabilities and algorithms
- Participate in code modernization
- Translate Ada code to C++
- Support reviews of requirements and test cases
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen with active Secret security clearance
- Bachelors degree of higher in a STEM related field.
- 5+ years with Bachelors degree; 3+ years with Masters degree
- Experience Developing Software in Ada or C++
- Math and/or physics background utilized to resolve complex issues
- Experience analyzing and implementing optimization algorithms
- MATLAB and Python Experience
- Unix/Linux Operating System Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing fire control solutions
- Highly experienced with Linux, scripting, and operations
- Experience with automated software requirements, testing and analysis
- Experience with the MDA GMD program
- Experience with Agile Project Management tools (Jira/Confluence) and DevSecOps tools and methods (Jenkins, Ansible, Git/Gitlab) of continuous integration/continuous delivery and deployment (CI/CD) automation
- Advanced degree in Mathematics or Physics
- Willingness to become highly proficient with Ada software development
