Job Description:
RTX Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated JADC2 Systems and Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating system configuration, IP networking, and experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) and Interim Authority to Test (IATT) processes. This role requires in-depth knowledge of open systems computing, containerization, and software development, along with practical experience in demonstrating capabilities with aircraft, ships, or ground forces. Familiarity with Link-16 J-Series messaging and DoD Command and Control infrastructure is essential.
What you will do:
- Configure and manage operating systems to support JADC2 systems integration.
- Design, implement, and manage IP networking solutions to ensure robust and secure communications.
- Lead efforts to achieve ATO and IATT for JADC2 systems, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain open systems computing solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to demonstrate JADC2 capabilities in operational environments involving aircraft, ships, and/or ground forces.
- Support Link-16 J-Series messaging to enable seamless data exchange across platforms.
- Contribute to software development initiatives supporting JADC2 systems, including coding, testing, and deployment.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance or higher is required prior to start date
- Proven experience in operating system configuration and IP networking.
- Demonstrated experience with ATO and IATT processes.
- Strong understanding of open systems computing, containerization, and deployment technologies.
- Hands-on experience with demonstrations involving aircraft, ships, or ground forces.
- Software development experience, including proficiency in relevant programming languages Python, C, C++
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Certifications in networking, cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
- Prior experience working with JADC2 systems and integration projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Link-16 J-Series messaging protocols.
- Familiarity with DoD Command and Control infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Work Environment:
- Up to 50 travel may be required to support field demonstrations and integration efforts.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
