Are you passionate about solving complex technical problems that impact real-world aerospace systems? As a Product Health Engineer, youll be at the heart of driving performance and reliability in electronic control units used in cutting-edge aerospace applications. 

Youll collaborate with a global team of engineers based in Phoenix and Puerto Rico, supporting the full Operations life cycle—from production transition to entry into service and beyond. In this high-impact role, you’ll be the critical link between Operations and Engineering, identifying trends, leading cross-functional discussions, and implementing solutions that improve product yield and quality across multiple manufacturing lines. 

What You Will Do 

  • Own and manage manufacturing and quality datasets using advanced Excel tools and analytical methods. Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive process improvements and ensure long-term product health. 

  • Continuously monitor production metrics to detect subtle shifts in yield, performance, and reliability. Lead proactive investigations into emerging trends—before they escalate—ensuring our products meet the highest standards. 

  • Deliver crisp, insightful yield reports and visual dashboards that keep teams aligned and leadership informed. Provide ongoing updates on investigation progress, resolution timelines, and emerging risks. 

  • Lead rigorous, data-driven root cause analyses (RRCA) using Continuous Operations Reliability Engineering (CORE) methodologies. Uncover root causes behind chronic issues, and implement sustainable corrective actions that drive measurable improvements. 

  • Facilitate high-impact discussions across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams. Turn technical findings into clear action plans, and hold teams accountable to timelines and results. 

  • Work side-by-side with subject matter experts and lead technicians to implement solutions on the production line. From hypothesis testing to process changes, you’ll ensure every step is executed with precision and purpose. 

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience 

Qualifications You Prefer 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Operations, ideally within a high-reliability or high-volume production environment. 

  • Proven ability to identify trends and drive root cause and corrective actions using CORE or similar methodologies. 

  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and driving improvements in cost, yield, and delivery performance. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
