Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Avionics Engineering with strong expertise in developing and authoring Functional Test Procedures (FTPs). The requirement will be to produce FTPs for the DHC-515 and Dash 6, Series 300-G aircraft. This role is crucial in supporting the standardization, validation, and operational readiness of test programs related to avionics and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and author Functional Test Procedures (FTPs) for avionics and electrical systems per OEM specifications, Functional Test Engineering Requirements (FTERs), industry standards, and certification requirements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and system logic to create accurate and comprehensive test documents.
  • Work closely with Systems Engineering, Production, and Flight Test teams to validate procedures and incorporate test results.
  • Ensure documentation complies with applicable regulations (e.g., TCCA, FAA, EASA) and company standards.
  • Support engineering changes and continuous improvement of test documentation.
  • Review legacy documentation and update test procedures as necessary for the modified or new configurations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Avionics Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in avionics systems engineering and test documentation in aerospace or aircraft manufacturing environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionics systems (preferably on DHC or similar platforms).
  • Proven experience authoring or reviewing Functional Test Procedures, ATPs, and test plans.
  • Familiarity with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient with tools such as MS Office, Adobe, and preferably CAD systems (e.g., Solid Works, FrameMaker).
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the DHC-515 or Dash 6, Series 300/300G platforms.
  • Previous involvement in aircraft modification, upgrade, or certification programs.
  • Familiarity with maintenance and manufacturing environments.
