Summary:
Assist with the removal and installation of avionics/electrical components, fabrication of wire harnesses, installations, terminations, ring-out, and functional testing of avionics and electrical systems.
Assist with installation, modification, and fabrication of wiring, electrical components, and equipment per blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
Maintain accurate logs and records.
Complete tasks within allotted timeframes.
Ensure all work meets regulatory and customer specifications.
Inspect work to ensure defect-free assembly before final inspection.
Follow company programs and policies, including FOD prevention, tool control, 5S, and safety regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Properly care for and maintain shop tools and equipment.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
One of the following is also required:
Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics, or
Two (2) years of related work experience, or
An avionics certificate from an accredited school and one (1) year of related work experience.
Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills and software knowledge required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
